Each SaunaLife HOME-Series sauna is precision-cut in Minnesota, USA, with meticulous detail by artisans with decades of knowledge and experience. 

No Cutting Required

Wood components are cut to exact measurements to ensure a professional-quality build and a tailored fit. SaunaLife begins with your framing measurements to calculate the precise dimensions and cuts for materials that provide a glove-like fit. Any size, shape, or design, SaunaLife will engineer and create the optimal solution.

Everything You Need for a Pro-Quality Build

Precision-Cut Walls, Ceiling, and Trim

Walls and ceiling cladding are factory-cut with tolerances for expansion, air movement, and the desired fit. These boards are then wrapped and tagged for easy identification at the time of construction. All interior trim materials are provided. 

Preassembled Benching and Backrests

SaunaLife pre-builds all benches, backrests, and optional flooring elements. These structures feature industry-leading thicknesses and finishes for elegant strength and bathing comfort. Each is protected in a custom cardboard carton for ease of mobility and safe storage on the job or in transport.  

Indirect LED lighting System

Indirect lighting is a SaunaLife standard, and it defines today’s custom sauna experience. A wireless dimmer and Wi-Fi operation make for scene-setting, tech-rich illumination. Rated for submersion in water and extreme sauna temperatures, your HOME Series Sauna comes standard with backrest and under-bench linear LED lighting that casts a sophisticated neon glow.

Premium Frameless Glass Door

Your HOME Series Sauna benefits from a frameless, 3/8” thick all-glass door. Tempered for safety, it arrives boxed and mounted on a matching wooden jamb for ease of installation. In addition to adjustable metal hinges, it features a modern vertical push/pull set incorporating a stylish metal exterior and wooden interior handle that remains cool to the touch in high heat.  

Wood Furring Strips – Moisture control is an important feature in any home sauna. All SaunaLife Precision Cut Saunas include wood furring strips to ensure the appropriate air gap between wall/ceiling cladding and vapor membrane for proper moisture control.

Heat and Vapor Barrier System

Engineered to keep the heat in and stress and worries out, SaunaLife supplies an easy-to-install heat and vapor barrier system that is designed to refract heat and contain humidity. Unique to SaunaLife is the integration of a vapor tape to cover material seams, which are often overlooked, and ensure the integrity of the heat and vapor barrier system. Spruce

Sourced from the Nordic Countries, Spruce features a light tone and consistent grain for a bright, authentic Scandinavian look. This economical choice is the most common sauna wood used in Northern Europe. Its distinctive knots can weep sap, so this cladding is paired with silky smooth Aspen benches, backrests, and optional flooring for knot-free bathing contact.

Thermo-Spruce

Thermal treatment, a process involving sustained high heat and water, reduces Thermo-Spruce’s natural resins, increases its R-value, and transforms its color to dark, authentic sauna charm. Thermo-Spruce is highly stable in heat and water, and simply stunning when applying natural paraffin oil, which is included in all SaunaLife room packages. This cladding is paired with Thermo-Aspen benches, backrests, and optional flooring for knot-free bathing contact.

Clear Hemlock

Milled in Canada to exacting SaunaLife specifications, Clear Hemlock is known for its blonde neutral appearance and hypoallergenic properties. Nearly scent-free, Clear Hemlock contains a subtle, distinctive grain and naturally forming mineral streaks which add character to this soft, smooth, and modern sauna material.

Alder

Originating from the Nordic Countries, Alder is a honey-blonde wood that is resin-free and highly stable. Another favorite of Northern Europe sauna enthusiasts, Alder’s smooth surface, consistent coloration, and value make it a great choice for complementing home décor.

Aspen

Bountiful in the Nordic Countries, SaunaLife sources this elegant and stunning sauna material during winter’s cold to ensure its bright, consistent color. Thermo-Aspen

Beautiful white Nordic Aspen is transformed through a Thermal Treatment process (a technique involving kiln drying and water), to create this sought-after sauna delight. Thermo-Aspen is true sauna elegance. Featuring a rich, golden-brown color and charming grain, this highly stable material generates a calming mood with fashion appeal. When applying natural paraffin oil, which is included in all SaunaLife room packages, this sauna material is simply stunning.

Clear Cedar

Harvested and milled for SaunaLife in Northern Canada, Clear Cedar has been the go-to luxury sauna material for decades. Clear Cedar is knot-free and boasts a distinctive grain and varying light and darker tones. Naturally durable and moisture-resistant, Clear Cedar has a distinguishing aroma (especially when wet). Its stability, natural oils, and comfortable touch make it a great choice for the classic sauna experience.

Knotty Cedar

Harvested in Northern Canada, Knotty Cedar features stable, natural knots and is rich with cedar aroma. This species and finish create a warm, rustic aesthetic while offering durability, moisture resistance, and long-lasting performance. The SaunaLife HOME Series Sauna Order/Production Process

About SaunaLife – SaunaLife has a mission to change lives through Experiential Bathing. They do this through thoughtful quality, engineering expertise, and guaranteeing bather satisfaction. Their 57-year heritage is behind every innovation and product they deliver.  

Upon Ordering – Your SaunaLife Indoor HOME Series Sauna Kit will receive the highest attention to detail. Upon ordering, or at the time of quoting, A CAD drawing will be provided for your review and approval. All room details will be thoughtfully shared and reviewed to ensure your installation and bathing experience.

Sauna Master – Once the CAD drawing is approved, a second review is conducted by a SaunaLife Sauna Master. This quality check ensures layout, safety, and your sauna bathing pleasure.

Production is Scheduled – Once approved, a material list is created, and a production spot is secured.

Production Time – The SaunaLife factory is full of Artisans who never lose sight of the experiences they influence. As a result, they pour intention into every cut, screw, and assembly step in the sauna build process. Typical production lead times range from 2-5 weeks (this can vary). An estimated completion date will be provided upon order confirmation.

Packing – Your HOME Series Sauna will arrive on a hand-built wooden pallet and is packaged for safe arrival. Each element is individually tag-identified and boxed for ease of unloading, handling, and installation. Their packaging adds value for safe jobsite storage and mobility which can often damage exposed sauna materials.   

Shipping – SaunaLife hires quality logistics companies for deliveries in North America. You will be called to schedule a street-side delivery appointment. When possible, your sauna will be lowered to the street and should be carefully inspected prior to signing. It is recommended to have two people available to receive the delivery.
