Easy
Installation 1-2-3:
Screw
Shadoe Track to the top edge of each joist. The track should
be flush on top and flat against the side of joist. Cut with
snips as required.
Install
the deck boards one at a time. Position and space deck boards before
securing with screws. When installing hardwood deck planks, pre-drill before attaching fasteners.
Install
by fastening through the Shadoe Track to the deck board from below.
Ensure that you have enough weight on top of the deck board to allow
the screws to securely anchor deck boards. Track joints should be
staggered from joist to joist. It is designed to provide a minimum
of two fastener holes for a 2”×4” deck
board.
Premium
Design

In
conventional deck construction nails penetrate through the top
of deck boards into the joists. As the wood weathers, it shrinks
and expands, causing nails and screws to “pop up”, creating a
hazard and allowing moisture penetration that promotes rot and
decay. Protection is jeopardized even if the wood has been treated
with a preservative. The Shadoe Track under deck fastening
system eliminates this.
Shadoe Track is
available at most home centers and lumber companies.
