Columns require concrete footings or slab for proper attachment.
 

All models are engineered to be strong and stable. Smaller rafters are molded around engineered wood timbers. Larger beams and rafters are built around steel trusses. This approach ensures that your pergola will not have problems with warping, twisting, and bowing. It will look and be structurally sound for many years longer than similar wood structures.

Measurements are the overall size of the structure: from pergola end to pergola end. Shipping costs included to most locations in the continental US.

Standard Models
Included in the kit are the rafters, beams, and hardware needed for assembly. Beams and rafters are notched for ease of assemble and added stability.

Need curves or arches? Larger or smaller sizes? Custom pergolas are no problem. Send us a sketch with dimensions and we can provide a quote in a few days. In addition to size and shape we can also add trim details like dentil and casings. Just let us know what you have in mind. This is an incredibly adaptive material with a wide range of profiles available.

Commercial Pergolas
Created for commercial projects, our engineered, molded urethane pergolas also look great in residential settings. These pergolas are structured with beams and rafters that are 3" and 4" thick  and up to 12" high.

We currently offer two standard sizes and a wide range of custom configurations which may include arches and curves. Standard or custom, these kits are like all Backyard America pergolas - they are easy to assemble and maintain.

Molded Urethane may be your best choice for outdoor structures. Urethane is a great outdoor material. Impervious to rot, mold, mildew, and termites, but with the look of clear pine, it is the best of both worlds. Now you can have the look of fine crafted wood without the worry of annual maintenance or replacement.

Our pergolas are shipped with two coats of factory applied  white primer. Like wood, molded urethane should be painted with a good quality acrylic latex exterior paint.

Because urethane does not absorb moisture, paint lasts far longer than it does on wood surfaces. Blisters and flaking should never be a problem.
